We seek to appoint a Lecturer in Architecture to contribute to the development of the Manchester Architecture Research Group (MARg), the Manchester School of Architecture (MSA) and the School of Environment, Education and Development (SEED) (see: http://www.seed.manchester.ac.uk/subjects/architecture The lecturer will also contribute to the newly formed Manchester Urban Institute (MUI), a cross-disciplinary research institute launching in 2017.
This appointment is permanent and tenable from 1st January 2017, subject to completion of our probation procedures.
We are looking for candidates who specialise in the architectural humanities and contribute to research-informed teaching that complements our existing clusters of activity and expertise. The post will involve teaching at both undergraduate and taught postgraduate levels, as well as research and administrative roles as specified by the Head of Discipline.
We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who can develop the capacity of the following research themes so as to strengthen our expertise in Humanities research in architecture:
- Tracing Architectural Knowledge and Infrastructures: Epistemology and Politics
- Mobility of Architectural Expertise: Transfers and Networks
- Politics of Use: The Production and Consumption of Architecture
