Full Time, Fixed Term Contract until 20 February 2018 (Maternity Cover)
We are looking to appoint two Lecturers in the Division of Psychology on fixed term full time basis until 20 February 2018 (or until postholders return) for maternity cover. The Division is based in the School of Applied Social Sciences in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences and is home to 30 academic staff. We offer a number of undergraduate psychology programmes which are accredited by the British Psychological Society as conferring eligibity for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership, as well as an accredited MSc in Health Psychology and additional postgraduate provision in the area of psychological wellbeing.
We particularly welcome applications from psychologists with expertise in biological psychology and also in research methods. The postholders will contribute to the teaching of students on undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes. Teaching duties will include preparation and delivery of lectures and seminars, supervision of final year projects, contributing to the personal tutoring scheme, and setting and marking of assessments. The postholders will be required to contribute to the teaching of research methods. There will be opportunites to become involved in a variety of existing research projects. We are looking for applicants who complement the research interests of staff in the division. The postholders will be expected to be research active in psychology.
