Brunel University London is a leading research-intensive University, which was recently ranked 29th in the world among institutions under 50 years old.

It has a diverse population of nearly 13,500 students, of whom around 3,725 are pursuing postgraduate studies as well as 2,874 international students from more than 90 countries.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Estates (Projects), the Major Projects Manager will take the lead role in the project management of the University’s major capital projects across a mixed-use estate portfolio of research and teaching facilities, student residences, social and hospitality space, sports facilities and commercial space. The capital programme is currently estimated at £170m with several individual major refurbishment and new build projects in the £20m to £75m range.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading and managing large scale refurbishment and new build schemes from inception to completion across technically complex estate portfolios. Experience of working on projects with a high level of technical complexity in live high footfall environments is essential as is the ability to lead design teams and contractor teams in an assured manner. It is expected that candidates will possess a related professional qualification.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to operate successfully at a senior level with a diverse range of stakeholder groups.
