The College of Law and Criminology is undergoing a period of development and expansion under its Head, Professor Elwen Evans QC., and is looking for applicants wishing to be part of a stimulating and collegiate academic environment.
You will be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses. You will be actively involved in supervising students undertaking research degrees in a wide range of topics. You will contribute to existing areas of research activity or develop your own areas of interest and will be expected to attract external research funding in order to enhance the standing of the Department. You will also be expected to contribute to the scoping and development of a policing degree and/or CPD training
The post also requires high quality delivery of teaching and student learning and a commitment to enhancing the overall student experience.
You should have a degree in Criminology or equivalent, experience of working in the Police service or a demonstrable research interest in policing and have a developing publication record commensurate with the role of Lecturer.
Salary: £32,958 to £38,183 per annum together with USS benefits, if required.
