Salary: £34,956 to £46,924 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
The School of Psychology seeks to appoint up to two new Assistant Professors to further enhance our provision of excellent teaching and widen our world-class research profile.

The School of Psychology has thriving research programmes and outstanding facilities in the areas of cognitive psychology and cognitive neuroscience, behavioural neuroscience, social and health psychology, and developmental psychology. Applications are invited for the above posts from candidates with a proven record of research and teaching in any area of Psychology. The successful candidate will have access to a wide range of research facilities and will be supported with an appropriate start-up package. Duties will include research, administration, and teaching through lectures, seminars, practical classes, tutorials and project supervision as directed by the Head of School/Director of Teaching. Most of the School's undergraduate teaching supports courses in Psychology (BSc) and Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience (BSc). In additional, the School runs a number of popular post-graduate taught programs in specialist areas of Psychology.
Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant area, extensive knowledge and understanding of specialised areas of psychology and/or cognitive neuroscience and significant postdoctoral research and teaching experience.
This permanent full-time position is available from 1 February 2017.
