Research Associate in Seismology

Applications are invited for a Research Associate in the Department of Earth Sciences at UCL to work on a project whose aim is to conduct seismological and geodetic exploration focusing on long period tremor and deformation in active volcanoes in Japan. This full-time post is funded by NERC and is available from 1 January 2017 for a period of one year in the first instance.

The successful applicant will plan and carry out for first focus of the research aim which is to conduct multi-years seismic and geodetic data in Asosan (Japan). Candidates will have a PhD, or thesis submitted subject to examination, in quantitative seismology, and research experience in seismic imaging using computational modelling of broadband seismic data.
