Business Change Team
The University of Leeds has a new and ambitious strategic plan. You will play a pivotal role in the implementation and delivery of a key strategic initiative, providing specialist change, leadership, programme and project management skills to facilitate and lead transformational change.
The initiative involves the integration of Engineering and Physical Sciences in the North East quarter of the University of Leeds campus. The initiative will integrate fundamental research in physical sciences with translational opportunities through engineering and industrial partnerships.
It will secure and enhance the long-term sustainable growth of two key academic Schools and support new academic development in both research and student education across a broader range of academic units. Not only will the development enable us to consolidate and enhance areas of existing award-winning activities, it will also provide a platform to attract new staff and students for world-leading research.
If you thrive on working in a complex environment, where your ability to navigate political and organisational issues are as well developed as your skills in project and programme delivery, this is an exciting opportunity for you to make a real difference in a world-class organisation.
In this role, you will be expected to work with the Sponsor to apply leadership, programme, project and change management skills to deliver the initiative. You will have the ability to balance priorities, deal with complex academic and financial information and succeed through cooperation and collaboration with others.
You will be happy to collaborate with other change specialists across the University to help shape the University’s change management methodology, as well as being comfortable working with limited supervision.
Please note: Although the role is titled ‘Project Manager’, the applicant must be able to demonstrate significant experience in delivering both projects and programmes of work.
