OUAC Office Manager

University of Oxford - Student Welfare and Support Services

A rare and exciting opportunity is available within Student Welfare and Support Services for an Office Manager to lead operations of the Oxford University Assessment Centre (OUAC). This centre provides an expert service to disabled students to identify their potential study support needs in Higher Education, funded by Disabled Student Allowance (DSA).

We are looking for a strong administrator with team leadership skills who would relish the challenge of working in a busy, student-orientated service. The manager will oversee and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the centre and ensure it delivers a high quality service which meets DSA quality framework requirements. As part of the role you will lead a small team of administrative assistants, collaborate with assessment professionals and disability advisors, prepare reports to underpin some support requests, co-ordinate the centre’s equipment provision services and liaise closely with students, staff and funding bodies.

The role offers an opportunity to be involved in service development and work closely with the Disability Advisory Service to make a valuable contribution to ensuring a positive experience for disabled students at Oxford.

This full-time post is offered on a 1 year, fixed-term basis in the first instance.

This post is part of a pilot scheme testing a new Supporting Evidence form in place of the more usual ‘supporting statement’. Please ensure that you carefully read the How to Apply section provided in the Job Description, which you can download below along with the required Supporting Evidence form.

The closing date is 12.00 noon on Friday 2 December 2016. Interviews for those short-listed are expected to take place on Friday 16 December 2016.
