The Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) is a leading UK policy research centre. The focus of our work is on issues of social and economic disadvantage as experienced by places and people. Our major research themes include housing, labour markets and welfare reform, regeneration and community, and the third sector. Overall, 81% of CRESR's research submitted to the Research Excellence Framework received 4* and 3* rating as world-leading and internationally excellent

This post is intended to enhance the portfolio of quantitative research undertaken within CRESR and increase capacity to deliver research projects successfully and to deadlines. You will contribute to income generation through contract research for a range of funders including government agencies, research councils and charitable bodies. 

You will be expected to be able to apply a range of quantitative analytical skills and knowledge which informs research design, collection and analysis of complex primary and secondary data and the delivery of findings to non-technical audiences. You will also be expected to make a significant contribution to CRESR's reputation for producing high quality academic publications, research impact and scholarship.

To be appointed at Research Fellow level we will also be looking for experience of managing small project teams and resources and you must have a developing academic profile in specialist area.
