The Lincoln Institute of Agri-Food Technology (LIAT) has recently been established to provide a University wide focus for Agri-food research and teaching at Lincoln, enabling the convergence of academic disciplines and the building of industrial partnerships to bring innovation and transformational changes to the sector.  It is an exciting time at Lincoln and we require a key individual to work with the Director of LIAT to build the Institute's research profile alongside its educational provision.

This is a Senior Lecturer position in the Lincoln Institute of Agri-food Technology (LIAT). LIAT is a new and rapidly developing institute in the College of Science and is focussed on research and learning. Since LIAT started late in 2015, its activities have increased rapidly and they range from delivering professional short courses in agricultural subjects, through innovative applied biological, engineering and computer science research to international projects in developing countries. The LIAT team work closely with colleagues from many specialisms across the university to deliver team based projects that are relevant to the future needs of the agri-food industry. Our key areas of focus are agri-robotics, agronomy and soil / water.

Due to the rapid growth of work, you will help consolidate and expand our activities in Lincolnshire and beyond. Ideally, you will have both academic and industrial experience in the agricultural, horticultural and agri-food technology sectors, be adept at working with industry partners and hold a PhD. Most important is that you have a passion for innovation, collaboration and helping people to learn.
