Health & Social Care Programme Leader

One year contract, with possible extension based on performance.

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to become the Programme Leader for our Health and Social Care Department.

London School of Science and Technology is a private Higher Education provider and has been established since 2003 in the Wembley area.

As Programme Leader you will bring with you a drive and commitment to inspire and lead the Childcare, Health and Social care, Teacher Training and Foundation Curriculum area ensuring high quality teaching, learning and assessment that meets the needs of individuals, the community and employers. As a role model for excellence you will ensure a culture of continuous improvement, by leading a rigorous course review, quality assurance and self-assessment process.

In addition to your management duties you will have a timetable of teaching hours, therefore we are looking for a highly skilled teaching practitioner with a PGCE/Certificate in Education or equivalent, a degree or relevant professional qualification in a related discipline and significant teaching experience.

The successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach, be independent and proactive, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will have strong communication skills and be able to negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation.
