The University of Liverpool’s Doctor in Business Administration is an international professional doctoral programme focussed on the latest practice and research within dynamic Business environments. We are looking for individuals with a background in management oriented, actionable research and research methodologies to augment our current team of Doctoral Tutors who facilitate our on-line classrooms. More specifically, we are looking for Doctoral Tutors who can facilitate the following modules:
- The Doctoral Practitioner
- Change and Crisis Management
- Knowledge Creation
- Management Research: Quantitative & Qualitative Methods
- Leadership and Community
- Action Research & the Action Research Thesis
- Complex Adaptive Systems
- Decision Making with Risk and Uncertainty
- Ethics, Sustainability and Social Impact
Essential Background and Experience:
- Earned Doctoral Degree with a background in management oriented research
- Active in research and publication in top tier journals
- Postgraduate supervision experience
- Teaching in Higher Education, post graduate environments
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Facilitative disposition towards highly motivated adult students
- Willingness to be flexible in working hours, to include weekends and evenings
Experience working in or knowledge of the UK University system would also be an advantage. Previous online teaching experience is beneficial but not required, as suitable candidates will be trained online during a 4 week training (for doctoral tutor). Keeping in line with our commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, selected candidates will be trained online during a 4 week training session. The training will provide a comprehensive introduction to our teaching and learning environment and will prepare successful candidates for their first teaching assignment. Experiential in design, this intense, hands-on training employs the best of current research practice using a global learning community and represents the first of future opportunities to engage with colleagues from around the world. Training is compulsory and upon successful completion of the training and mentoring process you will be added to the roster of our online Doctoral Tutor team. Training is conducted 100% online and is not restricted to specific hours or geographic location.
