The Institute of Neurology is a specialist postgraduate medical Institute of UCL. The Education Unit leads and directs all the taught MSc/MRes, diploma and research degree programmes, advanced short courses, and special and guest lecture series across the Institute and the associated National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery at Queen Square. It also arranges clinical attachments for undergraduate medical students. The post is a job share with a current post holder to work 40% fte (14.6 hours per week).

The post holder will support the Head of Teaching & Learning Support in the delivery of administrative support to the Clinical Neurology Distance Learning programmes. Duties will include overall responsibility for management and development of the course's virtual learning environment, student recruitment and course promotion, administration of examinations, and compiling student statistics and reports as necessary.

Applicants must be educated to degree standard or have equivalent relevant work experience, with significant experience of university administration and knowledge of the postgraduate teaching environment, and experience of maintaining and developing virtual learning and web-based environments. Excellent oral and written communication and organisational skills, good inter-personal skills, the ability to deal with confidential issues, and IT proficiency (Advanced Level) are also required.

The post is available immediately. Starting salary on the UCL Grade 7 scale in the range £34,056 to £41,163 per annum (including London Allowance), pro rata.
