SharePoint and Systems Officer (Maternity Cover)

Applications are invited for the post of SharePoint and Systems Officer in the Faculty of Natural Sciences. The role will lead in the support and development of SharePoint sites for the Faculty Centre and its five constituent departments.

Reporting to the Faculty Digital Media and Communications Officer, you will support systems to collect, store and report on information, and tools to facilitate collaborative working across the Faculty. In particular, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the use of SharePoint; seeking opportunities to improve processes and working methods, gathering requirements, developing solutions, providing training to users and representing the needs and requirements of the Faculty in College SharePoint projects. You will also be coordinating the migration of sites from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online.

This is a busy and varied post which will provide excellent opportunities for development and involves interaction with staff of all levels across many departments.

The post holder will have a degree or equivalent qualification, along with experience in a relevant role. Experience of project management, analysing information efficiently and of applying knowledge to solve complex problems are essential. You must also have experience of using information technology, in particular SharePoint and Microsoft Office, including a high level of competence in Excel, and the Internet. Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with a broad range of people including senior management is also essential. You will also be expected to demonstrate strong written communication skills and the ability to produce clear and concise written material. While not essential, experience of using InfoPath and SharePoint Designer would be an advantage. You will have excellent time management skills along with the ability to work to under pressure and to deadlines.

This appointment is a fixed term maternity cover for 12 months. The post holder will be based at the South Kensington Campus.
