University of Birmingham - External Relations

An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and creative CRM professional to join a dynamic division critical to the continued success of a global top 100 university. We are looking for a talented individual who can not only excel in the day-to-day operation of a sector leading CRM system, but can bring imagination and innovation to a range of campaigns that enable the University to succeed.

The External Relations division is vital to the continued growth and success of the University of Birmingham. It delivers the University to the world through communicating to multiple audiences, and is responsible for attracting and converting high-quality and diverse students to meet targets. It has also been responsible for driving sector leading initiatives, such as the Unconditional Offer Scheme and the Personalised Offer Calculator, that have gained recognition both within and external to the sector.

The CRM Manager plays a key role in ensuring the External Relations division meets its strategic objectives. They will drive the continued development and implementation of an integrated CRM strategy for the University. This would include ensuring central strategic CRM activities and objectives are planned and delivered, working across External Relations and the wider University to enable CRM engagement and innovation that gives the University a genuine competitive edge.

Experience of the Higher Education sector is not essential, but an appreciation of marketing high value products and services with a life changing impact is desirable.
