Salary scale: UH6 £26,829 - £29,301 pro rata pa with potential to progress to £32,004 pro rata pa on achieving designated skills and experience

FTE: 0.6 FTE (22 hours per week) Hours to be worked - negotiable

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Finance Advisor within the UH Finance team.

This role supports the Finance Advisor in providing all aspects of financial reporting and management accounting to four commercial UH business units; Residences (student accommodation), Food Hertfordshire (the University’s restaurants and cafes), the UH Day Nursery (childcare for students and staff) and a UH subsidiary Conference Hertfordshire, which runs conferences events. 

Key tasks include the preparation and review of management accounts on a monthly basis for Budget Holders, querying and providing explanations for variances against budget and escalating issues to operational management with recommendations for action. They also play a significant role in the Annual Planning process preparing budgets and quarterly forecasts; and preparation of Year End.   

The role is based at College Lane Campus, Hatfield. Interviews will be held on Monday 19th December 2016.
