Graduate Teaching Assistant X 3 in Law

Leeds Beckett University - Faculty of Business and Law, Leeds Law School

Grade and salary: Fixed Salary of £5,024.74, an annual stipend of £14,296 per annum, plus PhD fee waiver

Leeds Law School provides a full range of undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses and has a long track record of achievement and ensuring student success. In all our activities we ensure excellence in teaching and learning and student experience; our recent NSS score of 91% for overall satisfaction is testament to this.

Leeds Law School is investing in academic and research provision and seeking to appoint 3 Graduate Teaching Assistants to join our team. We are looking for inspiring and enthusiastic future academics who will undertake a fully-funded PhD and deliver teaching on key subjects in our course portfolio.

Applicants must hold an appropriate 1st Class/2:1 undergraduate degree and it would be desirable if candidates also held an appropriate Master's degree and/or UK professional legal qualification.

Successful candidates will have a commitment to both research and teaching and it would be expected that the PhD would look at legal aspects of Terrorism, International Human Rights, Equality Law or Legal Education. Graduate Assistants would be expected to commence in February 2017.
