Clinical Skills Technician

In this post you will assist with technical support for all skills rooms across the school. You will be technically supporting surgical staff in theatre and clinics assisting in the care of patients so to be successful you will need experience of patient contact and dealing with members of the public.

You will organise, prepare, maintain and monitor all skills room equipment and, following instructions and training, be able to undertake routine preventative maintenance and repair of all skills room equipment. You must be competent with the use of digital cameras, hand and cordless power tools. As the successful candidate, you will need to demonstrate a basic level of literacy and numeracy in order to carry out financial tasks such as ordering and processing of invoices. You will do ordering of medical and non-medical supplies as necessary and, when required, demonstrate simple procedures and apparatus to students.
