The position of Director, Research Operations has recently been refocused on coordinating internal service delivery and researcher development services to the University units.

Applications are invited for suitable career professionals with a proven track record of providing leadership in research development support in a tertiary education organization or similar. This critical role will provide clear strategic direction, leadership and management to the operational units comprising research support services to provide high quality support to research staff, research development activity and increases research revenue.

Essential to your success in appointment you will have demonstrated your knowledge of Tertiary Education Organisations in New Zealand combined with expertise in matters relating to research policy and practice. Having involvement in the purchase and/or the provision of research related services you will have a proven ability to broker relationships for new initiatives combined with a sound knowledge of commercial and contract law and normal business practice.

This permanent on-going appointment will be based on our Turitea Campus, Palmerston North and will work collaboratively on a national basis.
