NIAB is a leading UK centre for plant science, crop evaluation and agronomy, with a regional network and headquarters in Cambridge.
A new post has arisen for a motivated and experienced IT Support Engineer with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Based at the East Malling Research (EMR) site in Kent, the post holder will be responsible for the support of users, systems and infrastructure at the various regional sites of the organisation. The post holder will be expected to engage with users across all sites to provide support for networks, servers, desktops and laptops, software and ancillary equipment, while maintaining a focus in supporting the users on the Kent site.
Applicants should have a working knowledge and in-depth experience of Windows systems administration, Microsoft Exchange, Apple/macOS systems administration, systems scripting, virtual environments and PC build and distribution.
Applicants are expected to hold certifications or equivalent experience and to have a clean driving licence as visits to regional sites may be required.
