The Centre for Lifelong Learning seeks to appoint a Senior Tutor to lead a new student-facing team supporting the pastoral and academic-related needs of its diverse student body.
Working with the Director of Academic Studies, you will develop a strategy, framework and environment to support the academic development of undergraduate and postgraduate students across the Centre, ensuring all students receive a learning experience of the highest quality, both at the University and in partner colleges. Bringing an academic perspective, you will work with the Centre’s curriculum teams to review provision and enhance students’ experiences.
You will possess a teaching qualification and/or HEA Fellowship, as well as a PhD in a relevant discipline. You will have experience of teaching and/or supporting students in a range of HE contexts, as well as a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of higher education and lifelong learning policy contexts. You will have experience of working with adult learners and/or ‘non-traditional’ students.
