Lecturer in Education [Sport Pedagogy]

The School of Education is inviting applications for the above permanent post in the area of Sport Pedagogy. The successful candidate will hold a doctorate or equivalent in any of the following areas: Sports Studies; Physical Education; Sports Science; Physical Activity Promotion; Coaching; equivalent cognate area (or present evidence that he/she is nearing completion of this). It is desirable for the appointee to hold a teaching qualification in physical education/sports studies, which can be recognised by the Teaching Council of Ireland. The successful candidate will teach on the BEd (Hons) Sports Studies & Physical Education degree programme, and contribute to undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes in the School of Education.

Appointment may be made on the Lectureship Salary Scale: €31,821 - €56,967/€62,353 - €76,942. In all instances the successful appointment will be at the first point of the scale.
