A PDRA post in synthetic organometallic/coordination chemistry/homogeneous catalysis is available from 01 February 2017, or as soon as possible thereafter, for a period of 18 months, to work in association with Dr Philip Dyer, on an EPSRC UK Catalysis Hub funded project.
The project will explore the design, synthesis, and application of multi-functional ligands in homogeneously-catalysed alkene and alkyne alkoxycarbonylation chemistry.
This research programme is a collaboration between Durham University; the UK Catalysis Hub; Dr Matthew Clark and Prof. Michael Buehl (St. Andrews); and Prof. Richard Layfield (Manchester). The UK Catalysis Hub is an EPSRC-funded initiative (http://www.rc-harwell.ac.uk/UKCatalysisHub), which acts to promote and advance catalytic science in the UK. This specific project fits in the Hub’s “Chemical Transformations” theme.
