We are seeking a highly motivated individual, with excellent academic track record to join the Ocular Molecular Biology Group to characterise proteolysis-related molecular mechanisms in retinal pigment epithelial cells with importance for age-related changes in this tissue and development of age-related macular degeneration. The project will make use of innovative gene editing techniques to advance our in vitro experimental cell models for studying the function of RPE. You should have a PhD in molecular/cell biology or biochemistry with a clear commitment to research. You will carry out quality research in a supportive environment with opportunities to develop supervisory skills, contribute to thriving national and international collaborations, dissemination of results and new research proposals. The project is available for 3 years.
