Recently ranked 4th in the Guardian League Table for UK Universities and shortlisted by the Sunday Times for the University of the Year Award, The University of Surrey is looking to recruit a talented and experienced Marketing Manager within our Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences.
The Faculty Marketing Manager will be a qualified marketing professional with extensive experience of product marketing and understanding all elements of the marketing mix. You will have experience in identifying core market segments and using market insight to develop clear product propositions to take courses to market across the UK and Internationally. The success of this work will have a very significant impact on the future success and overall financial health of the University.
You will be an active member of the Marketing Campaign team ensuring that student recruitment and research reputation activity are effectively planned and executed within subjects that drive growth for the University. They will be required to balance the needs of the faculty and academics and commercially agree priorities to achieve student growth. As such you will have outstanding customer relationship building and interpersonal skills.
You will be joining at an exciting time of change and opportunity and will be required to contribute immediately and provide strong project management experience. Excellent leadership, planning, influencing and communication skills are essential with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences provides internationally recognised undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Each year the Faculty welcomes more than five thousand bright and dedicated students onto its degree programmes and it is proud of the exceptional student experience and quality teaching as demonstrated in its ongoing success in national league tables.
It is made up of nine Schools and Departments; Guildford School of Acting, Music & Media, English and Languages, Politics, Sociology, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Economics, Law and Surrey Business School.
Surrey Business School has a range of business and management disciplines and offers a MBA which is developing a good reputation in a competitive market as well as doctoral research degree programmes. There is a growing programme in Executive Education being delivered to local and national organisations.
The Faculty also has within it the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, consistently ranked no.1 in the UK and its’ Lakeside Restaurant and café which provides a work based facility for students studying on the International Hospitality Management degree programme.
In addition, Guildford School of Acting has a strong and growing international reputation for delivering world-class conservatoire training and research into experimental and innovative creative practices.
