This is a part-time role (20 hours per week), fixed-term between 1 January 2017 and 29 March 2018.
The University of Bristol is seeking a Library Support Assistant to join its new flagship student learning commons in Beacon House.
The role holder will be a member of the team which supports the delivery of excellent front line services in the Beacon House Learning Spaces. Responsibilities will include greeting customers, answering basic enquiries, ensuring that equipment is operational, and carrying out Health and Safety and cleanliness checks within the Learning Spaces.
The role holder will be required to present a professional, tactful and enthusiastic welcome to existing and prospective students, their parents and members of the public, promoting a positive vision of the University of Bristol. At peak times, Beacon House will be receiving several hundred visitors per day and the role holder will require excellent service skills to work in this fast-paced environment.
