This post represents an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in Keele University’s School of Geography, Geology and the Environment, and make a substantial contribution to our thriving undergraduate programmes in Geography, Human Geography and Physical Geography. Applications are welcomed from individuals with a proven track record of academic achievement who are committed to providing high-quality teaching in Geography, supporting an excellent student experience, and who are able and willing to provide flexible teaching support across a range of geographical subjects. No field of the subject will be excluded, but applications from candidates who can demonstrate interests and expertise that span across the disciplines of Human Geography and Physical Geography are encouraged.
The successful candidate will have, or be close to completing, a higher degree within Geography, will have experience of teaching Geography at undergraduate level, and be able to demonstrate an ability to engage with students so as to ensure a high quality student experience. The successful applicant will be actively involved in developing, supporting and delivering undergraduate teaching and associated assessments within Geography. This will include the delivery of practical classes, lectures and tutorials as well as fieldwork and the supervision of final year undergraduate dissertations. The position will also involve contributing to administrative duties within Geography, actively contributing to recruitment activities and being closely involved in the development and delivery of our extensive programme of school outreach activities.
The successful candidate will join the growing and highly successful School of Geography, Geology and the Environment, which has a thriving, expanding Geography section that has a strong commitment to, and a nationally leading reputation in, providing high quality educational programmes in Geography, Human Geography and Physical Geography.
