The Research Programme Manager will lead the development, management and co-ordination of research and training related to the University’s Aerospace activities. This involves building relations within the University and Faculty of Science & Engineering, external agencies and industrial organisations to promote research and interdisciplinary collaborations and raising the profile of the Institute’s activities. You will also develop a web-based information platform to promote wider activities in aerospace engineering across the University. You must have the ability to motivate colleagues by example and to help build multidisciplinary teams that will maintain a world-class Aerospace Research Institute. As part of the Institute, you will identify research opportunities as they arise from the funding agencies and bring together multidisciplinary teams for bid writing and managing the bid preparation process. This requires a strong knowledge of the University’s research activities and its fit to national, regional and industrial priorities.
