We are the UK’s leading bird research organisation working with over 50,000 volunteers to monitor birds and deliver cutting-edge science. We are looking for a new Head of our Ringing & Nest Recording Team. The team organises the Ringing Scheme; the Nest Record Scheme; and ringing projects monitoring survival and productivity. In addition, the team issues permits to ring, and also to approach the nests of rare birds during the breeding season, as well as dealing with applications to use a variety of catching and tagging techniques. Candidates will have the ability to inspire and lead a network of committed volunteers; they will have excellent team and project management skills, with the ability and drive to develop and further improve the processes underlying the schemes.
