King’s Careers & Employability is contributing to an ambitious university programme of development to create global employability opportunities for students as part of our role as a world-leading university. 

The Employer Engagement & Internships Officers will engage employers both in the UK and Internationally with current students through events, internships and in-curriculum activities.

The role of the Employer Engagement & Internships Officer is to engage employers across a range of sectors, both in the UK and internationally, to support the employability of King’s students and the successful launch of our graduate’s careers. 

Working closely with colleagues in a faculty as well as careers and external relations colleagues, you will develop and maintain relationships with key employers, to ensure that King’s is a target university for the widest range of graduate recruiters. 

As part of the university’s international profile and reach, a key part of the role will be to extend networks outside the UK, to create internship or other employability enhancement opportunities for students to develop their global employability, and to support business engagement to enhance the student experience. 

We are looking for strong networkers who enjoy building relationships and working strategically to meet targets. Experience of developing and maintaining client relationships is essential, as is demonstrating that you are able to deliver a high level of customer service, both internally and externally, and experience of liaison with external stakeholders would be a benefit.

The ability to maintain positive relations across multiple departments will be key to success, as will a flexible and innovative approach to engaging employers working in very different sectors and geographical areas.

This is a 0.4 FTE indefinite contract.

Salary Details: Grade 5, £27,328 to £31,656, pro rata, Per annum - Allowances£2,623 LWA, pro rata
