This is an enviable opportunity to shape and nurture the future of research at a business school with a history of fresh thinking – and ambitious plans for growth.
The centre of new ideas, the foundation of excellence
Westminster Business School is one of the largest University business schools in the UK, with a turnover exceeding £45 million and more than 350 full-time and visiting staff. We’re renowned for the strength of our professional practice focus, which is built on impressive corporate connections, the success of our executive education portfolio, the impact of our research and the number of professional accreditations we hold.
2017 is set to be a pivotal year for us - creating five new professorships and a range of additional strategic posts. There’s a real sense of excitement about the investment in the School and the phenomenal potential it opens up. We see this as the start of a new chapter in our story. You can be there at the outset to play your part.
Your role - Associate Dean of Education
Your role will involve working closely with the Dean to develop our portfolio of programmes. This will involve providing academic leadership and strategic direction for our educational mission. Focused on delivering student satisfaction and enhancing our performance in the Teaching Excellence Framework, you will also assist in the strategic management of the School, as well as the implementation of our academic activities, in collaboration with other senior members of staff.
You need to bring us a PhD and a professional qualification in a relevant business subject area, and you will have a strong record of research or professional practice in an area covered by the Business School. It is also essential that you have high level analytical skills, and significant experience of academic administration. This could include programme leadership, quality assurance, marketing or curriculum development, together with business planning and resource management skills. You will also have the knowledge to implement strategic initiatives targeted at key issues currently affecting higher education.
