For over 150 years the University for the Creative Arts in Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, Maidstone and Rochester has been leading the way for art and design education.

Full Time Post: 36.25 hours per week

The University for the Creative Arts has campuses at Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham and Rochester and is home to 6,000 students from over 70 countries studying on courses in fashion, graphics, design, media, performance, fine art and architecture.

The University has ambitious plans to extend its portfolio and expand its research and enterprise activities and is seeking to appoint a Course Leader for its Interior Architecture & Design undergraduate course at Farnham who can make an extraordinary contribution to this agenda. Farnham’s community of creative craft courses offers a unique opportunity for the right individual to develop a distinctive and forward thinking Interiors provision through collaborative working.

You will be an experienced design practitioner, able to inspire through your own work and your networks to the professions and wider design industries. You will have proven academic quality management skills, a successful track record of curriculum development, and the vision to lead, enhance and communicate the quality of this highly reputable course.

You should have a strong understanding of contemporary educational issues and be able to inspire and motivate both staff and students. You will be expected to demonstrate a significant commitment to relevant professional practice and/ or academic research interests.
