Initial salary will be negotiable and at a competitive level – minimum at 1 August 2016 - £59,400 per annum
Politics & International Relations at Brunel University London is part of a thriving interdisciplinary Department, which also includes History and Law. It has a superb research record with 64% of research rated as being internationally excellent or world-leading in REF2014. We are ranked 12th in the UK in terms of Research Intensity. Our NSS results in recent years have placed us in the top quartile in the UK for student satisfaction, and internationally we have been ranked in the QS ranking top 200 for Politics & International Studies.
We are seeking to recruit a Professor of Comparative Politics. Our preference is for a candidate who can also offer research and teaching in quantitative analysis. The successful candidate will join a vibrant department and an energetic and internationally orientated group working in comparative politics and public policy. In keeping with the seniority of this role, the successful applicant will be expected to make a significant contribution both to research and the academic leadership of the department. You will also be expected to participate in at least one of the research centres and/or hubs in the College of Business, Arts & Social Sciences, or a University Research Institute.
