Working in collaboration with Open Lab, Newcastle University, this post is to support the EPSRC Playing Out with IoT project. You will be responsible for designing, developing and evaluating a new IoT toolkit that enables under 9s to create new forms of outdoor play.
You will be an expert in human-computer interaction with strong research and prototyping skills, and specific expertise in interaction design. You will have experience of user-centred or participatory design processes and ideally experience working with children. You will have a PhD or nearing completion in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and have a strong track record of publication at internationally leading HCI and academic community service.
The post is available fixed term for two years and is full time
