Lecturer/Senior Lecturer - International Business

Auckland University of Technology

  • Opportunity to be a specialist in International Business
  • Strong research environment with support
  • Full time, permanent role in Auckland CBD

The Auckland University of Technology Business School has a reputation as a leading provider of innovative undergraduate and postgraduate business education, with strong links to business, employers and professional bodies. It is accredited by AACSB. The Business School has over 4500 students and over 150 academic staff.

This is an exciting opportunity to be a specialist in the field of International Business! We have a straight IB major and you will have opportunity to teach across all levels of post graduate, research graduate and undergraduate. We have a good research environment, with researchers working on projects including large emerging markets, critical studies on globalisation, and international business strategy and history. We offer strong support for research including generous support for research and conferences, and the faculty offers a variety of additional contestable research funds.

We are looking for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer with a PhD in International Business (or near completion) ideally with evidence of good teaching experience in IB at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will have a proven research track record with research interests in the main areas of IB and be submitting or have publications in mainstream IB journals at A and B levels.

We are a small but focussed, open and collaborative group and we support the growth of our people. We are student focussed and look to engage with our students to aid in their development. We have strong links with a number of major IB researchers and centres in other parts of the world. The nature of our research is both conceptual and applied and appears in a range of top-ranked international journals.

If you are a specialist in International Business then we want to hear from you!
