Current lab interests focus on bacterial invasion and reservoirs, biofilms, antibiotic resistance, human tissue organoid models, innate immunity, and novel nano- and micro-capsule-based local treatment strategies – one of which has attracted Series A industrial funding towards pre-clinical and clinical trials. The post-holder will be required to contribute to research aimed at optimizing an entirely novel localized microbubble therapy which is nearly ready for preclinical testing, and to help pioneer other delivery systems.
