Our robust links with International Universities enable us to work within diverse educational and social contexts, particularly across East Asia.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and innovative Programme Leader to drive our Higher Education work, which brings together cutting edge collaborative projects, socially-engaged practice, enterprise, and entrepreneurship skills.

 As Programme Leader for Graphic Communication, you will be responsible for the organisation, direction, and development of all creative learning led curriculum work, in order to educate and inspire students to reach their full potential as professional practitioners. This includes managing the ongoing international links with BA Graphic Communication SHAPE (https://www.shape.edu.hk) which delivers the same Level 6 Graphic Communication curriculum content to approximately 40 students on an annual basis in, Hong Kong and also opportunities for staff and student exchanges in Thailand  with the University Chulalongkorn (http://www.chula.ac.th/en/).Drawing on your proven experience as an educator and professional practitioner in the graphic communication, you will embed the BCU’s 2020 Transforming the Curriculum pedagogies within the School’s degree portfolio, collaborating with senior staff across Visual Communication; Illustration, Photography, Film and Animation.

This key role requires the post holder to demonstrate significant experience in the management and teaching of education programmes, outstanding managerial and leadership skills, strong standing as designer and excellent communication skills. Advertising and branding experience will be an advantage. The role will operate within a fast changing industry, and there will be opportunities to increase collaboration across the School and with key partners within Birmingham City University and the afore mentioned International links. The successful candidate will therefore also have experience of developing and managing partnerships, and of working across disciplines and in diverse educational contexts.
