QA Higher Education

We are seeking a recruit a professional who has aspirations to lead academic teams and develop their leadership and management skills at our London campus.

QA Higher Education (QAHE) works in partnership with three different UK Universities to deliver a range of undergraduate and post graduate programmes in Business, Management, Marketing and Computing at its branch campuses in London, Birmingham and Manchester.  Its focus is on delivery of high quality learning and teaching to facilitate excellent student outcomes. From May 2017 QAHE is seeking to expand its experienced faculty across a range of teaching disciplines from levels 3 to 7. 

About The Opportunities

As Academic Programmes Manager you will provide strong academic leadership and foster a strong sense of programme ownership across the QA Northumbria Programme Leadership team. You will have the ability to communicate effectively between QAHE academic staff and our partner counterparts at all levels. You will have a strong understanding of academic process, standards and quality to ensure that all academic administration is completed in a timely and effective way to the standard required by the University Partner.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent – essential
  • Relevant Masters – essential
  • HE programme management experience – essential
  • Experience of partnership working and working with senior University stakeholders – essential
  • Significant experience of line managing academic managers at programme manager level or above - essential.
  • PGCE/ Associate HEA – highly desirable
  • Lecturing experience in the HE sector in subject specialism
  • Experience of supporting international students

Applicants should have suitable and relative academic management experience. Working within a partnership environment with senior university staff is essential. A teaching qualification and membership of the HEA would be advantageous.

We envisage that this role would provide a basis of experience to allow the successful candidate to move into higher level academic management positions within our organisation.
