University of Warwick - School of Life Sciences

Fixed term for up to 3 years.

Applicants are invited to apply for a postdoctoral research fellow position at the School of Life Sciences, to work on a project funded by the European Research Council (ERC) consolidator award. The ERC project team consists of three postdoctoral research fellows, one PhD student and a supporting technician under the supervision of Dr Y Chen.

You will have a good honours degree and possession of a PhD or equivalent in relevant discipline (e.g. microbiology, ecology) with proven ability in research and evidence of quality research output in relevant field (e.g. marine microbiology, protist grazing, cyanobacteria, phytoplankton).

Please note that interviews for the post will be held in September 2017, with a start date to be agreed for shortly after the interview.

If you have not yet been awarded your PhD but are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant on level 5 of the University grade structure (£28,453 pa). Upon successful award of your PhD and evidence of this fact, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure (£29,301 pa).
