Programme Lead - BSc Accountancy

Chengdu University of Technology

A well-established Sino-British University Programme in Chengdu, China is seeking to appoint a programme leader to lead and manage the delivery of the Oxford Brookes BSc Accountancy degree at Chengdu University of Technology, China.

Chengdu University of Technology has been offering Sino-British collaborative programmes in Higher Education in Chengdu to a high standard for twelve years. The programmes have a reputation for stringent quality management and good levels of student achievement. Many students have gone on to complete post-graduate degrees at a number of high ranking UK institutions. The Oxford Brookes BSc Accountancy Award is a new award that recruited 118 students in September 2016 onto an International Foundation Programme. Students who complete this successfully will progress to a three year undergraduate programme delivered entirely in China starting with UK NQF level 4 modules from September 2017.

Candidates are expected to have a masters degree in a relevant subject or relevant professional body qualification, and Higher Education teaching experience. Experience of professional practice and evidence of research, scholarship and a reflective approach to teaching would be looked upon favourably.

Chengdu is a thriving city in south-west China that currently presents great opportunities for living and working, as well as outstanding potential for research projects. Within the Programme, we have a dedicated staff development scheme including the chance to take a Post Graduate Certificate in (International) Education ensuring the quality of courses delivered are of an equivalent standard to those delivered in the UK.

This position is a contracted position for one academic year, full time in Chengdu from August/September 2017 and finishing in the Summer of 2018. We have a low staff turnover and seek to recruit a member of staff who plans to stay longer term. Benefits are awarded for staff who re-sign for subsequent years. On campus accommodation is offered as part of the remuneration package along with airline tickets for travel to and from China.

Interested candidates should in the first instance contact careers@zy.cdut.edu.cn to request further details and an application form.
