Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation (EEA) is a part of Aalto University School of Electrical Engineering. The Research Group of Power Systems belongs to EEA. It conducts scientific research and gives highest education in the field of Power Systems and High Voltage Engineering.

Postdoc position in Power Systems

Aalto University Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation invites applications for a full-time postdoc position in the Research Group of Power Systems.

The research carried out in the position will concern control functions and control architectures of Smart Grids, especially integration of Prosumers and distributed resources for power system balance management and network capacity management.  A successful applicant should have some experience and strong motivation in working with modelling and simulation in power systems, Smart Grids and distribution networks. Experience in using computer tools like Matlab and GAMS is required. We expect the candidates to have a doctoral degree.

Currently, there are 6 PhD students and 2 doctors working in the research group. The postdoc will work together with some of the PhD students and help in guiding their research. 10% of his/her working hours should be used for teaching.

This position is offered for three years (1+2 years). The postdoc will receive a salary determined according to the regulations of Aalto University.
