Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowships 2017

University of Surrey - Health and Medical Sciences Research at the University of Surrey.

The University of Surrey is a research-led University with a range of leading facilities and resources that allow us to conduct world-class research in a broad array of fields. These include those housed at Surrey Research Park, a major centre of excellence in technology, science, health and engineering. Our Doctoral College provides excellent support to postgraduate and early career researchers, through building a cohesive community and research environment, providing first class training, facilitating excellent supervision, and enhancing employability skills. Further information about the University’s research excellence and facilities can be found here.

In the latest UK research excellence framework (REF 2014), 93 per cent of our biosciences, health, psychology and veterinary research was rated world-leading or internationally excellent, placing Surrey eighth out of 94 institutions submitted in the Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy category. Think about how the University of Surrey’s research strengths and environment can complement and support your training and career development.

The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences is keen to host Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) fellows and is currently inviting for expressions of interest in four broad areas:

  • Biosciences and Medicine
  • Health Sciences

  • Veterinary Medicine

Postdoctoral researchers from any age and nationality, with a good research track record wanting to come to work to the University of Surrey are invited to apply. If successful, you will receive full support from our expert researchers and the University's European Union Team for the submission of your application. Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowships

This supports individual, transnational fellowships for promising researchers seeking employment in member states or associated countries, based on an application made jointly by the researcher and host organisation. This fellowship scheme aims to support the career development and training of researchers through international and inter-sectoral mobility. By funding excellent research and providing attractive working conditions, the MSCA offer high quality career development and training opportunities open to researchers of any age, nationality or discipline. The funder’s call for applications closes on 14 September 2017 but there will be an internal selection process to identify Surrey’s candidates (see above).
