Fully Funded EngD Studentship Opportunity

University of Surrey - Faculty of Engineering & Physical Sciences

How does the opportunity to research whilst based with a commercial organisation appeal to you?

How does a stipend of at least £19,900 sound?

Have you heard about the Engineering Doctorate? (EngD)

We have an opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic individual on our EngD programme. Working with McLaren Automotive. You’ll be looking at developing the company’s capability in the area of preforming of composite materials. You will be based between the sponsor site at Woking Surrey and the University although you will also spend time much of your time on campus, attending events such as scientific and non scientific short courses, meetings, the annual conference and you will use our excellent characterisation facilities.

You’ll need to have a good undergraduate degree (first or upper-second class honours as a minimum) or a Masters degree at merit or above in a subject with some physical sciences content; a materials science, materials design or mechanical engineering background would be advantageous.

Contact Noelle Hartley for more details and/or a Further Information Pack including guidance on how to apply.
