We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and highly motivated candidate to the post of Associate Director of Academic Services (Student Administration and Systems). This is a key leadership role within the Division of Student and Academic Services. Reporting to the Director of Academic Services, the post holder has strategic responsibility for leading and managing teams that support student administration and related systems from registration through to graduation, including:

  • Student Records;
  • the Student Service Centre;
  • Timetabling, Examinations and Room Booking; and,
  • Centralised Distance Learning Team.

The Associate Director will be joining Academic Services at an exciting time as we help to deliver many of the University's strategic priorities to maximise student success and offer an excellent student experience. The post holder will have a broad understanding of the current opportunities and challenges facing universities and will work with colleagues from across the University to shape our institution-wide programme-related administration service. This will include developing administrative frameworks, providing advice and coordinating training for colleagues.

The successful candidate will have significant operational experience in areas covered by the post and be able to demonstrate their ability to deliver service improvements. In addition, they will be able to demonstrate effective communication and people skills which will enable them to lead, motivate and develop a diverse team of professional staff within a rapidly changing environment.
