Salary Grade 7 - £32,958 per annum due to funding external restrictions.

Full-time fixed term post from 02 January 2018 to 28 December 2019.

In this role you will combine data from earth observation satellites and field observations in an explanatory framework for understanding recruitment failure post-fire in Siberian boreal forests, and incorporating this information in a model of land surface conditions and ecosystem greenhouse gas fluxes.

The ideal candidate will be educated to PhD level in a relevant area of geography or environmental science with a broad knowledge of remote sensing data and techniques for studying ecosystems. You will have a familiarity with ecological models with some relevant fieldwork, preferably in remote environments.
