Salary Range: £26,565 - £35,577 per annum plus London Allowance

A Research Nurse position is available at the Hammersmith campus of Imperial College London in the Centre for Complement and Inflammation Research (CCIR). This new post is an integral component of the Immunology theme of the NIHR Imperial BRC. The overarching aim is to improve the care of patients with immunologically-driven disease. This nursing post will focus on clinical studies of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE, ‘lupus’, supervised by Prof Matthew Pickering) and renal transplantation (supervised by Dr Candice Roufosse, Consultant Cellular Pathologist). The post-holder will be based within the CCIR. Contact with study participants will be within the Imperial Lupus Centre and Renal Transplant Clinic (both adjacent to the CCIR), Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.  Duties will include identifying potential study participants from patients attending the Lupus Centre and Renal Transplant clinics and to obtain informed consent.

The position is funded by the NIHR Imperial BRC and are available initially for 3 years, until 31st March 2020, with the possibility of a further extension.  

The post offers a unique opportunity to work within well-funded laboratories with international reputation in research and links with the NIHR Imperial Biomedical Research Centre
