The Institute has been established with the aim of co-ordinating some of the leading research activities in the field of public policy.

Launching in early 2018 it will take a lead in the rethinking of public policy as an academic field of study, and bring together University researchers working across broad disciplinary boundaries. The Institute will ensure a more concerted conversation and focus within the University, becoming a highly visible centre of excellence both within the UK and internationally.

The Institute, under the direction of Prof Michael Kenny, is looking for an experienced administrator from 1 October 2017. Working closely with Prof Kenny and colleagues in POLIS the administrator will be responsible for setting up many of the policies and procedures for the Institute.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to work, great organisational skills and have the ability to take on and understand new tasks quickly.

This is a new position and there is a real opportunity to make the position something special.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
