The successful candidate must have a PhD and provide evidence of the highest levels of research activity. They will also be expected to teach planetary modules to BSc level geology and planetary science students, in topics such as “Geology of the Solar System”, and “Remote Sensing of Planetary Surfaces”, that make full use of their research experience. They will be expected to supervise BSc, MSc, MPhil and PhD students. Teaching will involve evening classes in central London plus distance learning duties, and participation in field classes. The successful candidate will be expected to place strong emphasis on the pastoral care and intellectual development of students.
