Trainee Liaison Librarian

You will have:

  • A good first degree (honours) or equivalent, and a postgraduate degree/diploma or qualification via portfolio in library/information science or equivalent relevant subject/vocational area
  • Effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • A strong commitment to a high standard of user-focused service delivery and an understanding of current trends in higher education library/information services
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Good IT skills with a demonstrable commitment to the effective application of social media to information services development
  • Demonstrable commitment to achieving Chartered membership of CILIP

This is a three year fixed term contract supporting the post holder in gaining their Chartership before making their next career move. The Library offers a friendly and dynamic working environment and is an accredited Investor in People, strongly committed to continuing professional development and staff training.
