Teaching Associate in Italian

The University of Bristol is seeking to appoint a fixed-term part-time Teaching Associate in Italian from 22 January 2018 to 15 June 2018.

You will be someone who has the ability to deliver a second year unit in Italian cinema, and contribute to existing units in modern Italian literature and culture, and Italian-English translation. You will support the Department and School in the development of innovative teaching methods and materials and the dissemination of good teaching practice. You will also make an appropriate administrative contribution to the life of the School.

You will have a high level of competence in Italian and in English, and are likely to have, or be about to obtain, a relevant postgraduate qualification (PhD) and to have experience of teaching, ideally in the HE sector. 

The Department of Italian is an integral part of a dynamic and forward-looking School of Modern Languages in the Faculty of Arts. One of the largest departments in the country, including an expanding community of postgraduates and postdoctoral scholars, Italian at Bristol has an international reputation for world-leading research in cultural studies, spanning the Middle Ages to the present day.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held soon after the closing date.
